Fast, efficient and safe ship loading
Harken manages the leases in the Timberland basin, located immediately upstream of the Fraser River Docks. This area is fully protected from tidal and freshet conditions, offering an excellent venue for ship or barge loading of logs. We do our loading from Fraser Surrey berths 2, 3, 7, 8, 9 and 10, which are immediately adjacent to our storage areas.
Our highly experienced crews run the tugboats and winders doing this work. Harken No. 3 and 4 are primarily utilized for ship loading, while our fleet of five winders – Tidal #2, #3, #4 and #5 – are used for barge loading and range from 85 to 107 Horsepower vessels.
