Born on January 15, 1922, in Mission BC, Ken was the oldest of five boys and was raised in Port Coquitlam BC.
His life revolved around his family, friends and of course his boats. He started Harken Towing at the age of 26 and it is still thriving today. He married Dorothy Mackenzie and they raised two children, Linda and Tim. Fondly known as Pa , Ken has five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Ken never retired and you could often find him in the office or in his garden. He was full of life right till the end. He enjoyed cruises, Maui and of course the many trips to Pitt Lake on the Viking King, where you could always find him at the wheel.
Ken’s generosity, kindness and thoughtfulness will be missed by all who were fortunate to be a part of his life. His love and loyalty to his family, friends and customers shone through in everything he did.
Pa will be greatly missed by all.
